#3 Respect & Value Your Roots
I fondly dedicate this post to Dada...
It is so disheartening to see people mostly from my generation losing connect with their families. Chatting 24x7 with friends, Parties, Discotheques, Pubs and on and on the list goes... these are the activities which are keeping many youngsters 'busy' in their leisure time. It is a pity that people are not inspired to dig out the true treasures hidden in their families.
Friends, you are seriously missing out some very interesting stuff... the struggles, the adventures and the miseries that your grandparents have gone through, their childhood memories of rural life, the stories of what kind of lifestyle people used to have around 5-6 decades ago, how people used to live a contented life even with limited resources amidst hundreds of stupid irrational social taboos that were very much a part of our culture, what were their dreams as a youngster and how they achieved them, the lessons that they learnt in their journey of life, the sacrifices they had to make for the betterment of the family... there are thousands of such pearls in their ocean of life.
There cannot be any present without a past. There cannot be any tree without roots. And there cannot be you without your ancestors. If you don't understand and value where you have come from, you can never understand and value what you have in your hands right now. Fruits that you are enjoying right now have not just co-incidentally fallen into your laps. Those fruits were just a seed once, your ancestors have worked like maniacs all throughout their lives to ensure that that seed grows into a beautiful tree that would provide warmth. comfort, coziness and the sweetest fruits possible...
After struggling so much all their lives for the progress of the family, all they want in return is respect, care, affection and a little bit of your time. And it is indeed such a meager thing to expect! If you can have all the time in the world to rush to a friend's place just on a single phone call, Can't you also spare a bit of your time for your grandparents? Can't you make them feel needed? Can't you not make fun of them and insult them? Can't you heart-fully respect them?
They will always lovingly give you their blessings and believe it or not, their blessings are like magic wands! They are so brimming with love, warmth and well wishes, that you can actually feel positivity encapsulating you!
Never ever forget to take their blessings, you never know when its your last chance...

Life is to devote.
To the people to the society to the nation and the world.
But we bypass this thing that Charity begins at home.
If we can't give our presence to our family how can we to others.
Lets pledge to always remember our roots.
